Competition Countdown Time!
Get our calendars ready, your reminders set, and allow us to bribe you for your attention.
Yeah, we jokingly refer to a lot of what we do as “bribery” and this is no exception, except it really is a lot more like real bribery this time… we promise. Anyway, the details:
We like games.
We’re maybe a little old-school in our preferences, but we never claimed to have good taste.
We’ve got three competitions we’re going to run between now and the release dates of some tasty titles coming our, your, and everyone else’s way in late 2019 to early 2020. We’re pretty sure you can guess what they’ll be, but before the big reveal, let’s set the entry conditions.
There are going to be three ways to enter these competitions, so feel free to maximise your chances by entering through all of them. That said, we’re looking at limiting the entries to 5 per person, but that should give you all a good spread of chances, because not everyone will get in (or possibly even want to participate) on each type of entry.
The last hint we’re offering here is that we’ll also be running some Livestreams on Twitch, DLive, Facebook, and YouTube to coincide with these competitions and build up the Coop Community.
Sign-Up to Coop Content
Yup! It’s that simple! Set up an account on Coop Content between now and the end of July (23:59 GMT – 31/07/2019 – a Wednesday) and that’s your first free entry to all three competitions!
No one likes a cheater and no one really likes bots, even if they might rule us someday.
YOU HEAR US SKYNET!
Come Create in a Coop Group
Okay, that was more of just a snazzy title, but we do want you to be creative and get engaged wherever you like across the site. Obviously we want you to set up your own Coop Groups and make the site your own, but this entry type is more specific than that.
For this one, we have three special Groups set up already for you to join. When the word comes out from us about the next activity we’d like you to get involved with, you get another chance to enter into the competitions for free. Unfortunately, that on it’s own doesn’t guarantee you’ll win…
So here’s how it goes: We say we want you to create a character, write a side plot, design some in game fluff, or whatever. The top 10 responses get a shout out and a free entry, the top 5 make it into a video by us to keep the hype going, and the number 1 slot will even get a little something extra.
Each Creative entry will be specific to the group its released in, so any entries won through a response will only enter you into the competition that group is dedicated to, not all three like the Sign-Up option.
Tips and Donations on Livestreams and Coop
Kind of a mouthful there, but we’ll make it simpler from here. Anyone who donates to us during one of our Livestreams will get entered into the competitions as well. No one is going to win all of the creative entries above and not everyone will sign up to Coop Content before the end of July.
Therefore, we thought we’d give you something back for something you might well do anyway on a Livestream. If you like what we’re doing and send us a Tip, or Superchat, or come over to Coop directly to donate we’ll give you an entry into the competition of your choice in return.
Just a little something extra to give back to anyone who decides they want to support us in whatever way they choose to. The same goes the other way too, not everyone can afford to financially support us, which is why we have the Creative and Sign-Up options above.
You might not have heard of this one, but you will.
It’s an RTS set in an alternative history during the 1920’s. The Great War is over, “the Great War II – the Greater I” is already on the horizon, and there are Mechs. We don’t want to spoil anything for it, but Scythe was a massive Kickstarter success, not to mention one of our favourites to play, so this video game adaptation should be amazing.
Vampire the Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
Oh boy do we like Vampire the Masquerade here.
White Wolf struck gold with the original pen and paper RPG system. They’ve already had some solid success with the previous video game adaptations, but Bloodlines 2 is looking like a solid new entry to the franchise.
The World of Darkness has been updated with the release of the VtM 5th Edition rule book and a few supplementaries, bringing the unlives of the damned into the 21st millennium. A game set around centuries of vicious in group fighting, illuminati levels of global domination and subversive politics, and more blood than the rave at the start of Blade.
How could we not? It’s breathtaking~
There’s little y’all probably don’t know about this game by now. It’s basically going to set gaming standard for the 2020’s, it’s been teased to us since 2013 with one of the best trailers ever, and most importantly to us is that it’s based on our absolute favourite pen and paper RPG system, Cyberpunk 2020.
If you’re a fan of Altered Carbon, Neuromancer, Johnny Mnemonic, Dark City, The Matrix, Mute, Deus Ex, Bladerunner, and all that gorgeous neon 80’s retro-futuristic slick sheen and grungy grime film noir goodness… then Cyberpunk 2077 should tickle all our collective fancies. Just like Cyberpunk 2020 already does for us and has for a long time.
We’re going to release an article for each competition, detailing the games and livestreams we’re intending, including links to their dedicated Coop Groups for creative entries, and a full list of all the goodies that’ll be coming your way if you win.
So what are you all waiting for?
Get sharing, spread the word, and let us bribe you already!
You make Coop Content a bigger and better place, we give you the chance to win a load of awesome stuff. That too much to ask?
